Buffalo Wild Wings is hiring for Assistant Service Manager

The Assistant Service Manager supports the General Manager by supervising the restaurant's day-to-day operations, including training, guiding, and coaching Team Members and management to achieve excellence in shift execution and guest contentment.

Key Job Roles and Duties

Team Responsibilities:

  • Holds subsequent interview sessions and plans for the orientation process of new staff members.
  • Coordinates the orientation activities for fresh team members, including the completion of relevant paperwork.
  • Inserts new team member profiles into Aloha and CTUIT systems.
  • Verifies that all team members successfully conclude the onboarding program.
  • Devises orientation itineraries for new Team Members, detailing their training schedules.
  • Training schedules are specifically organized by Wing Certified Trainers (WCTs) who hold certification.
  • Guarantees that all necessary training paperwork is accomplished and organized after the sixth day.
  • Regularly follows through on training procedures and ensures that all documentation is properly finalized.
  • Arranges post-shift training workshops with WCT staff and trainees.
  • Completion of position validation forms is slated for day 6, with the possibility of an extension if necessary.
  • Authorization to conduct position validations is limited to the Training Manager or General Manager only.
  • Organizes and preserves Wing Certified Trainers (WCTs) to supervise training in each division of the restaurant.
  • Maintains a standard of at least two working communication tablets in every section of the restaurant.
  • Checks and updates WCT evaluation paperwork to ensure it is current and well-maintained in the office binder.
  • Arranges monthly WCT meetings as part of the routine.
  • Provides WCT reviews on a six-month basis.
  • Heads the rollout of innovative menu changes.
  • Conducts training sessions on ServSafe for all WCT employees.

Front of House (FOH) Support Responsibilities:

  • Upholds the operational standards that apply to team members who receive gratuities.
  • Organizes the start and end of shifts for tipped employees.
  • It is crucial that servers and bartenders move to the Front of House Support minimum wage pay scale and clock out of tipped wages if they exceed 10 minutes per hour on duties unrelated to their usual tipped responsibilities.

Guest Responsibilities:

  • Manages guest feedback and prioritizes urgent alerts.
  • Responds to guest problems within 48 hours and sends completed Guest Comment forms to the Regional Manager (RM) for further action.
  • Practices engaging with guests actively to ensure their overall satisfaction.

Quality Operations:

  • Administers a full Quality, Service, and Cleanliness (QSC) evaluation quarterly.
  • Coordinates all procurement activities excluding those for McLane.
  • Ensures implementation of top-notch operational practices.

Sales and Profits:

  • Records invoices on CTUIT, with the system automating the processing for the most part.
  • Takes charge of the accounts payable department in CTUIT.
  • Deploys operational practices designed to increase sales and drive profit escalation.

Communication:

  • Upholds consistent communication among team members and with supervisors.

Direct Responsibilities:

  • Guarantees that the training process is flawlessly executed every time it is conducted.
  • Cultivates a pool of experts who are certified to train others in wing-related skills.
