As an Area Supervisor at Ross Stores, you'll play a vital role in driving store success across a designated group of locations. Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to Store Managers in your assigned area, acting as a key point of contact and resource.
  • Monitor store performance against key metrics, including sales, profitability, and operational efficiency, identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to company policies, procedures, and visual merchandising standards across all stores in your area.
  • Foster a culture of exceptional customer service, coaching store teams on best practices for customer engagement and problem resolution.
  • Support talent development initiatives, including identifying high-potential employees and contributing to training and development efforts.
  • Conduct regular store visits to assess operational effectiveness, provide feedback, and build strong relationships with store leadership.
  • Collaborate with various corporate partners, such as loss prevention, human resources, and merchandising, to ensure seamless store operations.
  • Assist in the roll-out of new initiatives and programs, ensuring effective communication and implementation at the store level.
  • Analyze key business data and reports to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within your area.
  • Support the opening of new stores and the execution of store remodels or special projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent retail management experience.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building effective relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Results-oriented with a strong focus on achieving goals and driving performance.
  • A passion for the retail industry and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned area on a regular basis.
