Shift Supervisor/Manager

Description:

As a Shift Supervisor/Manager at Buffalo Wild Wings, your primary responsibility is to oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring high service standards, efficient team coordination, and an excellent guest experience. You will lead the front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) teams while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

Core Job Functions and Responsibilities

Team Leadership:

• Supervise and support team members to maintain smooth operations throughout each shift.
• Lead by example, providing coaching and constructive feedback to improve performance.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, operational procedures, and service standards.
• Assist in the hiring, training, and development of new employees.
• Promote teamwork and resolve any staff-related issues effectively.

Operational Efficiency:

• Monitor restaurant workflow, adjusting staff assignments as needed to optimize efficiency.
• Ensure food and beverage preparation aligns with quality standards and safety regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections to maintain cleanliness and proper equipment functionality.
• Handle cash management duties, including opening and closing registers.
• Oversee inventory levels, placing orders and reducing waste where necessary.

Guest Satisfaction:

• Foster a welcoming atmosphere to enhance the customer experience.
• Address guest concerns professionally, ensuring quick resolution to issues.
• Encourage staff to engage with guests to create a memorable dining experience.
• Monitor service speed and ensure food is delivered in a timely manner.
• Uphold brand standards and maintain consistency in customer interactions.

Financial & Sales Performance:

• Implement strategies to drive sales and improve profitability.
• Encourage upselling and promote current menu specials to increase revenue.
• Monitor labor costs and adjust scheduling accordingly to meet budget goals.
• Track daily transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.

Communication & Coordination:

• Facilitate clear communication between FOH and BOH teams to ensure seamless service.
• Relay important information from management to staff and vice versa.
• Attend and contribute to management meetings regarding operational improvements.
• Ensure all team members are informed of any policy changes or procedural updates.

Safety & Compliance:

• Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety practices.
• Monitor emergency procedures and train staff on safety protocols.

Physical Demands:

• Frequent standing, walking, and moving throughout the restaurant.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs when necessary.
• Capable of handling a fast-paced and high-energy work environment.
