As a Heart of House Cook at Buffalo Wild Wings, your primary role is to prepare high-quality food efficiently while ensuring a safe and clean kitchen environment. You will be responsible for executing recipes accurately, maintaining kitchen equipment, and working as part of a dynamic team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Core Job Functions and Responsibilities

Kitchen Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Buffalo Wild Wings’ standards and specifications.
• Ensure all food is cooked at the correct temperature and follows safety guidelines.
• Maintain proper portion control and presentation for all dishes.
• Monitor food quality and freshness, ensuring all ingredients meet company standards.
• Follow all recipes precisely to maintain consistency in food preparation.
• Assist in maintaining an organized and fully stocked kitchen.
• Ensure that all food items are stored properly and meet food safety requirements.

Back of House (BOH) Support Responsibilities:

• Comply with all kitchen safety protocols and food handling procedures.
• Ensure all cooking stations are clean, stocked, and ready for service.
• Follow proper sanitation procedures and maintain cleanliness in work areas.
• Assist with dishwashing and cleaning as needed to support the team.
• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during peak hours.

Guest Responsibilities:

• Ensure food is prepared quickly and efficiently to maintain guest satisfaction.
• Follow guest modification requests accurately to accommodate dietary needs.
• Contribute to the overall guest experience by providing quality meals.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Quality and Safety Standards:

• Follow all food safety regulations, including proper storage and handling.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, reporting any malfunctions.
• Ensure that all kitchen surfaces and tools are sanitized regularly.
• Adhere to company policies regarding hygiene and safety procedures.

Sales and Inventory:

• Assist with stock management by rotating ingredients and minimizing waste.
• Communicate inventory shortages to management to ensure proper stock levels.
• Contribute to cost control by following portion guidelines and reducing excess waste.

Communication:

• Work closely with servers and management to ensure seamless service.
• Provide feedback on kitchen operations and suggest areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with fellow cooks to ensure efficiency and teamwork in the kitchen.

Direct Responsibilities:

• Ensure food is cooked and plated accurately and promptly.
• Follow all operational guidelines set by Buffalo Wild Wings to maintain consistency.
